Taken from the flanks of Mt. Capulin, a northbound coal empty heads back to the Powder River Basin across the immense expanse of NE New Mexico. Four smaller cinder cone volcanos spread across the plateau before the land drops off toward SE Colorado and the OK Panhandle.
