In the fall of 1994 I made a visit to the famous Sand Patch grade. Traffic was plentiful that day and the weather and fall color was fantastic. While predecessor colors were still fairly common I had no complaints with this matched pair of SD50s whining east as they held back tonnage, squealing through the S-Curves at Mance. This was long before drones were available and I seem to remember climbing a tree here to get a little elevation for this shot.
I only wish I hadnt been shooting print film at the time but glad I had the image and was able to scan it and share it here.
