Unfortunately, the end of the line has finally came to this unit. Starting life in 1950 as a SW7 for the Illinois Central, this switcher was rebuilt into a SW14 around 1980 and worked for the IC another 20 years. Now a parts source for the Locomotive Specialists forces, RMPX 1439 will never turn another mile in revenue service.
