| The west end of the Mason City Yard had a fixed distant signal for the diamond with the UP at the Bear Trap. The signal here and Nora Spring were just a reminder to be prepared to stop at the diamond signals. A westbound from Marquette is putting their train away as an outbound crew hangs a marker to get ready to head to Marquette. This signal has since been changed out in the CP era to solid yellow distant.
