New aluminum coal gons glow in the afternoon sunshine as a Burlington Northern coal train rolls through a curve west of Lyons, North Dakota, on August 10, 1991. The train is led by equally-new BN EMD SD60M No. 9250, the first unit on the railroad with EMD’s new two-window comfort cab design. BN SD60M Nos. 9200-9249 featured a three-window design.
