A dozen tears after my previous photo, many changes are evident at East Penn Junction, Pennsylvania. Other than a stack of old ties, there’s not much evidence that this was once a yard. Tracks, buildings, and signals are gone, and even Conrail’s paint scheme has changed, with the addition of a frame stripe. Soon the Conrail Quality scheme will arrive, and wide nose units will displace conventional cab units.
