A San Luis & Rio Grande photo freight, powered by 2-6-0 No. 1744, aims at La Veta Pass east of after departing Alamosa, Colorado, at first light. This is a special photo freight operated by the railroad on September 20, 2007, to La Veta and return, and is glinting the morning’s brief moment of sunshine at milepost 245 in the expanse of Colorado’s San Luis Valley
