On the way to Winterail, we spotted UP's Woodland Local parked near I-5 about halfway between West Sacramento and Woodland. The crew was having dinner at the Elkhorn Saloon as a crop duster worked adjacent fields. We thought it was nice that an ex-Western Pacific unit was working a train on the old Sacramento Northern's Woodland Branch.
