| Lightoil fired 2-10-0 steamlocomotive 52 # 8055 of the DLM (Dampflokomotiv- und Maschinenfabrik) is pulling the train of the VES (Verein zur Erhaltung der Eisenbahnlinie Etwilen-Singen) from Rielasingen to Etzwilen over the Rhine bridge of Hemishofen. The 254 meter long and 25 meter high truss bridge was built in 1875 for the Schweizerische Nationalbahn (SNB). The regular traffic on the line between Singen (Hohentwiel)/Germany and Etzwilen was stopped in 2006. The line between Etzwilen and Rielasingen is owned today by the Stiftung Museumsbahn Stein am Rhein – Etzwilen – Hemishofen – Ramsen & Rielasingen – Singen (SEHR & RS) (Foundation Museum Railway Stein am Rhein - Etzwilen - Hemishofen - Ramsen & Rielasingen - Singen), the part from Rielasingen to Singen is rented from the city of Singen. The cars of the train are privately owned and used by the VES. |
