| Three big U-boats at the former Seaboard yard in Macon, Ga. The lead locomotive was built for the Southern Railway in 1974 as SOU 3917, then became NS 3917 before being sold to Georgia Central. When Genesee & Wyoming bought the Georgia Central, they eventually scrapped all of these vintage units with the exception of one which was saved for a museum. |
