| In the beautiful evening sun light North of the Polar Circle, Electric locomotive Da #888 of the Swedish State Railways SJ (Statens J?rnv?gar) is arriving at Vassijaure with a special train from Abisko ?stra.
On the occasion of the 120-year anniversary of the iron ore line "Malmbanan", the Swedish railway museum together with LKAB iron ore mining company ran several historical trains between June 30 and July 4 2022.
This electric locomotive was built by ASEA and delivered to Kiruna in July 1955. It has a power output of 1,840 kW (2,470 hp). It now belongs to the Swedish railway museum in G?vle. |
