| It is 05 AM and the 0-10-0 steamlocomotive R # 976 of the Swedish Railway Museum is entering some minutes ahaed of schedule the station of Abisko Oestra with the 1300 ton ore train 50976 from Kiruna to Vassijaure. The train circulated in the night of july 2/3 to celebrate 120 years of operation on the ore line Kiruna-Narvik. The steamlocomotive, built in 1909 by NOHAB for this purpose, performed well on this jourey, which was observed, filmed and photographed by a large group of enthusiast from the whole world. |
