750 mm gauge steamtrain of the Norsk Railway Museum Hamar in Smal?sen station bound for Kl?ften, several hundred meter from here. Smal?sen was taken into use as a station when the Nordlandsbanen opened between Grong and Mosj?en in July 1940. The station was located in Namsskogan municipality, 313 kilometres from Trondheim, just at the border with Nordland. The name was changed from Smalvatn to Smal?sen in 1941. The station was converted to a stopping place (without services) from 1 April 1959, and closed down from 31 May 1987. The building was, after standing unused and empty for many years, dismantled and moved to Hamar and the Norsk Jernbanemuseum in 2009. Wood fired locomotive # 2 "Urskog" was built by Richard Hartmann in Chemnitz in 1895 and ran on the Urskog-H?landsbanen.
