Weekend work between Prospect Park and Atlantic Ave forced the Q to run a very unusual service pattern to and from Coney Island on this weekend, with southbound trains running express via the Sea Beach Line and northbound trains running express via the West End Line. Service between Coney Island and Prospect Park was provided using shuttle trains, denoted on temporary maps with the yellow S bullet - yellow denoting Broadway Line service. Trains running the shuttle service also used the yellow S bullet, which was used from February 1998 to May 1999, when it was used for a temporary 63rd St Shuttle between 57th St-7th Ave and 21st St-Queensbridge stations. Since the completion of the work that necessitated the shuttle, the bullet has rarely been seen - particularly not on the front of trains!
