| A photo which could similar be taken decades ago. The cogwheel steamlocomotive HG 3/4 # 4 of the Furka-Oberalp-Bahn (now Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke) is leaving Gletsch with a freight train to Oberwald and Brig. On the left the old post, the impressive hotel "Glacier du Rhone" and the station building of Gletsch. In the background was visible the Rhone glacier then in bygone days. |
