At one time, the Southern Pacific operated a line further east on Anaheim's Santa Ana Branch, operating down the center of Santa Ana Street, than it did not long before the Union Pacific acquired the SP. Heading east down the center of the street, the line diverged at Olive to head to Santa Ana (the portion still in operation), while another line continued east a bit more, then turned north through this industry (the name of which I have long-since forgotten) to parallel the Santa Fe Railway's Surf Line (note the Santa Fe box car in the distance) to connect with the Union Pacific's Anaheim Branch at Lincoln Avenue. SP SW1500 2468 was first spotted running on UP's Anaheim Branch through Fullerton, then got back on home rails just north of here, where it is setting out a tank car. The train will then continue to the SP's West Anaheim Yard, trundling down Santa Ana Street as it does so. This locomotive later became Union Pacific 1074, and later LTEX 1074.
