Remarks & Notes

In January 1997, flooding in the Feather and Sacramento River Canyons compelled Union Pacific to detour numerous trains on the Modoc Line for a couple of weeks. A westbound detour train is seen descending the grade from Sage Hen summit at Likely Loop.
