| When I first visited the USA toghether with a friend in summer 1991, we stopped our camping bus at the Tennessee pass railway of the Denver and Rio Grande Western Railroad overnight. In the morning a heavy coal train showed up running slowly at about 13 mph up the line with 3 locomotives in front and 4 midtrain helpers. Leading was SD50 # 5514 followed by SD40T-2 # 5351 and another of the same series. The 4 midtrain helpers were all SD40T-2. |
