New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R110A cars 8006 and 8010 (Kawasaki, 1992) are seen loaded on trucks at the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal for their journey to Brookville Equipment Corp. Due to restrictions on oversize loads travelling in the city, the trucks had to wait til nightfall before they could depart the South Brooklyn Marine Terminal.
Brookville has been awarded a contract to rebuild the R110A A-cars (i.e., the cars with cabs) into generator and pump cars for pump trains. The R110A B-cars (i.e., the cars without cabs) have already been rebuilt into hose reach cars for use with pump trains, so this rebuilding may see the ABBBA R110A sets reunited in the future.
