| Tied Down.
Norfolk Southern (NS) 6978 (EMD SD60E, 2013-2017) is seen tied down and shut off north of Lakewood MARTA station, a train of which can be seen in the background. This locomotive variant is a custom rebuild of an SD60 with a wide-nose cab - among other modifications - created at NS's Juniata Shops.
Disappointingly I was unable to find any moving freight trains while out on a Friday in Atlanta, so this was the only such shot I got on the trip. |
