A drop table operator checks the progress of a new axle being switched out on Union Pacific EMD SD70M No. 4831. The locomotive is having its fifth wheel set/motor assembly replaced at UP’s Kansas City Locomotive Facility in K.C., Missouri, on October 21, 2013. After removing the old axle, the new wheel set/motor assembly is carefully raised with the drop table on the wheel track at the facility.
