Remarks & Notes

The Great Third Rail. Chicago, Aurora & Elgin no. 303 (Niles Car & Manufacturing Co., 1906) is seen being pulled around by Hartford Electric Light Co. no. 1 (GE, 1949) at the Connecticut Trolley Museum. 303 is operable, and extensive restoration work has been done inside the car, but it was being moved to a non-electrified part of the museum so that exterior restoration could begin.
