Frosty, pre-dawn departure. The Norfolk & Western Railway's colorful J-Class Northern #611 waits with her passenger train in the yard at East Strasburg, PA, as her crew performs brake tests, in preparation for a pre-dawn departure. On this chilly, fall day in November of 2022, the locomotive would be performing for photographers on a photo shoot organized by the Strasburg Rail Road and the Virginia Museum of Transportation.
