Southeastern Pennsylvania Transportation Authority (SEPTA) Type K LRV no. 9049 (Kawasaki, 1981-1982) is seen stopped for photos at Island Ave / Suffolk Ave Station. Visible at this angle is the grooved rail (aka girder rail) used on tight curves and street trackage on trolley systems worldwide, which features a built-in guard flange to help guide trams. |
