Middle Layup. New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R143 no. 8201 (Kawasaki, 2001-2003) is the lead motor on an out-of-service L train seen here relaying on the center track at Chauncey St Station on the Jamaica Line. On this weekend, L trains were only running between Canarsie and Broadway Junction, using the Jamaica Line platforms at the latter to provide convenient transfers to J trains.
