The 13-kilometer-long narrow-gauge railroad from Liestal to Waldenburg, the Waldenburgerbahn, was extensively renewed during about 1 1/2 years, converted from 75 cm gauge to meter gauge and equipped with 10 new streetcar vehicles from StadlerRail/Spain. The Waldenburgerbahn, now line 19 of the BLT (Baselland Transport) has been in operation again since the timetable change in December 2022 and runs every 1/4 hour during the day.
