Remarks & Notes

This is the BNSF's St. Joseph Sub crossing of the Missouri River at Rulo. This bridge was originally built in 1877 and in 1977 work was done to replace that bridge on the old piers with one that could withstand weight from coal trains. The St. Joe Sub runs from Lincoln, NE, to Kansas City, MO. A Wilmar, MN, to KC freight train crosses from Nebraska into Missouri as they cross the Missouri.
