In the past few days there has been a fair amount of fresh snow at higher altitudes, while in the valley the meadows are already quite green. The Interregio 1141 of the Rhaetian Railway from Chur via the Albula line to St.Moritz is traveling uphill between Tiefencastel and Surava. This is today a replacement train with "Allegra" ABe 8/12 # 3501, standard cars type II, a baggage car and a modern driving trailer Bt # 52806 at the end of the train. Whenever one of the 6 ALVRA trains is under maintenance or repair, the RhB has to use such a non-air-conditioned replacement train. In the background, the snow-covered mountains Aelplihorn and Muchetta can be seen.
