On October 19, 2014 a Norfolk Southern Triple Crown train cruises over the Tennessee River into Chattanooga from points westbound. Closr inspection will show you that the truck trailers are not actually suspended in air behind the power but are on small frames. Light and easy and made to travel fast. This is a vertical lift bridge near the Chickamauga Dam and Highway 153.
NS 9210, a General Electric Dash 9, is on lead. The locomotive was built in 1998. |
