| The sound of GE’s in notch 8 echoes through the corn fields just west of Elkton, VA. 50K is down on its knees at 5 miles an hour making the assault on Johnson’s Hill, the steepest grade on the former Chesapeake Western Railway. The train will have to climb about 3 more steep grades before it finally arrives at the VPGC grain mill in Linville, a couple miles north of Harrisonburg. |
