    Remarks & Notes
Completed in 1902 by the Pennsylvania Railroad, the Rockville Bridge is, at 3,820 feet (1,160 m), the longest stone masonry arch railroad viaduct ever built. The bridge crosses the Susquehanna River on forty-eight 70-foot spans, and is located about 5 miles (8 km) north of Harrisburg PA. The eastern end is located in Rockville and the western end is just south of Marysville. Part of Norfolk Southern's heavily trafficked Pittsburgh Line, this bridge also sees use by Amtrak's Pennsylvanian, which crosses it each day. This eastbound Norfolk Southern freight, heading from Marysville to Rockville, is powered by NS Dash 9-40CW 9354 and NS SD60 6649. (Marysville PA – September 26, 2013)
