| The Matterhorn-Gotthard-Bahn (MGBahn) ordered 12 new "ORION" (Optimaler Regionalzug Im Oeffentlichen Nahverkehr) trains from StadlerRail, the first are now in timetabled service. ABeh 8/12 # 307 and # 304 in multiple control are crossing the 106 meter long and 49 meter high Grengiols viaduct with the regional train R 534 of the line R43 from Visp via Brig-Oberwald to Andermatt. The viaduct is in a cogwheel section with a grade of about 10 %. On the right, the train is entering the 592 meter long Grengiols spiral tunnel. |
