Throughout much of the year, the South Platte River seems to be down at almost a trickle. However, after a winter with a lot of snow fall and a top of rain this spring, the South Platte have flowed a bit over its banks! A southbound UP manifest has a Kansas City Southern "Retro-Belle" SD70ACe on the point as the train crosses the river. Although this is a manifest in UP's system, there are several dozen double stacks at the front of the train.
