Coming off Cajon Pass' famed Sullivan's Curve and rounding the last curve into the Cajon station (the physical building of which is long-gone) is BNSF Railway train H-BARVRN1-25, hauling "High Priority Freight" (on the BNSF, all freight is "high priority"), which originated 60 miles ago in Barstow. The previous day, the third day of a massive storm dropped an unusually heavy amount of snow on Cajon Pass, and the elevation here near the Cajon crossovers, at milepost 62, is 3,116-feet. This is an amazing amount of snow for this elevation! BNSF ET44C4 3794, Dash 9-44CW 4754 and ES44C4 7987 are up front, with another pair of Dash 9-44CWs, 1042 and 5079, as the rear DPUs, will deliver this train to the Los Angeles Junction (which is now just another part of the BNSF) in Vernon, not too far from downtown Los Angeles.
