| The Allegra ABe 8/12 multiple units, with their large tractive effort, can also be used without any problems in freight service, which is a regular occurrence. ABe 8/12 # 3506 pulls today's short VALSER mineral water train 5742 from Ilanz to Untervaz and Landquart through the Rhine gorge between Versam-Safien and Trin. The swap bodies with mineral water on pallets are transported from Vals by truck to Schnaus-Strada, where they are transferred by a reach stacker to the container carrier wagons for transport to the distribution warehouse in Untervaz. Since 2002 the Valser Mineralquellen AG is part of the Coca-Cola HBC. |
