| Steamtrain 134 of the Dampfbahn Furka Bergstrecke from Oberwald to Realp just reached Furka DFB station on 2160 meter a.s.l. The red diesel shunter Tm 2/2 # 506, built in 1953 by Asper for the Chemins de fer du Jura, shoved the train through the 1874 meter long Furka summit tunnel from Muttbach-Bélvedère. This is a requirement of the operating regulations for safety reasons. |
