| Amtrak "SW1000R" 792, seen in the carrier's Ivy City facility, was built by General Motors Electro-Motive Division as Montour SW9 73 in May 1952. This SW9 was later sold to Youngstown & Southern (as YS 73), then became Inland Steel Coal (becoming INLX SW9 132) before being sold to Amtrak. (Washington DC – January 22, 2015) Photographed on railroad property with permission and full PPE. |
