High-Hood Heritage.
NJ Transit GP40PH-2B no. 4210 made its debut in Erie Railroad heritage scheme at the annual Family Day event at the Meadows Maintenance Complex on October 7, 2023. This view of the long-hood end shows how the scheme would have looked on Erie's high-hood GP7, which it was derived from and adapted for use on a low-hood GP40. This end of the locomotive will rarely be seen in service, but shows the level of detail that was put into the design of the heritage schemes by a dedicated team of NJ Transit employees.
From a hint of "Bee" (NKP 765), colorful "Bees" (KCS), "Bees" w/ "attitude", to "Bees" that "sting" your eyes, in their own way they have "Bee" on display! Equipment that "Buzzes" with Yellow & Black colors! ("Bees" can still "Bee" entering this "hive"!)
