In the timetable of the Gornergrat Bahn with trains every 24 minutes, the 4 compositions used meet/cross each other at Findelbach station, or on the double-track sections Riffelalp-Riffelboden and Riffelberg-Gornergrat. Two trains, each with a Polaris Bhe 4/6 and a SLM-built Bhe 4/8 in multiple control (one with the Polaris on the downhill side, the other on the uphill side), meet above Riffelalp with a magnificent view of the Matterhorn.
