Bi-level Metra Highliner-equipped commuter trains sit at the end of the former Illinois Central electric main line out of Chicago at University Park, Illinois, on the morning of May 9, 1992. The Highliner is a bi-level multiple unit rail car, originally built for IC by St. Louis Car Company in 1971, with additional cars later constructed by Bombardier.
