A pair of WNYP Alcos lead a special move with one of Amtrak's Avelia trainsets in tow from the Alstom Facility in Hornell, bound for storage at the yard in Olean. The train is about to pass under the Erie cantilever signal just outside of Cuba, New York, a relic from when this was the main line of the Erie Railroad's Allegheny Division.
New York state has the largest number of ALCO diesel locomotives working in everyday service. Here are some of them. Soon I hope to chronicle all of them.
