New York, Susquehanna & Western (NYSW) SD40-2 no. 3024 is the leader on the 2023 Operation Toy Train special that ran along the railroad's Southern Division Main Line on Saturday, December 9, 2023. OTT partners with railroads throughout New York and New Jersey to operate special trains collecting donated toys from various communities along their lines. The toys are later donated to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys for Tots Foundation to be distributed to underprivileged children in the area.
