New York City Transit Authority (NYCTA) R46 no. 5504 (Pullman-Standard, 1975-1978) is the lead motor on a southbound shuttle train seen arriving at 36th Avenue Station on the BMT Astoria Line. On this particular weekend, N service was reduced to a shuttle between Astoria-Ditmars Blvd and 39th Ave Stations due to accessibility work being performed at Queensboro Plaza Station. This train is using the grey S bullet typically seen on the three shuttles operated as regular service in the subway system: the 42nd St Shuttle, the Franklin Avenue Shuttle, and the Rockaway Park Shuttle.
