Best Seat in the House. Amtrak View liner inspection car 10003, the American View, is seen on the rear of Northeast Regional train 171, bound for Washington DC. The massive window provides inspectors and other Amtrak officials and guests with panoramic views of the track and right-of-way as the train cruises the network. Ahead of 10004 are two other inspection cars: geometry inspection car 10003, the Corridor Clipper, and catenary inspection car 10005.
