| This winter, the amount of snow on the Bernina Pass is far above average. The Rhaetian Railway line is the highest Alpine crossing that does not run through a tunnel. Here at Ospizio Bernina, the trains reach an altitude of 2253 meters above sea level. The not self propelled "Zaugg" snow blower Xrot mt # 95403, pushed by diesellocomotive Gmf 234 # 02, is clearing track 2 in Ospizio Bernina for the crossing of trains 1660/PE 955. |
