| The BNSF merger was getting closer to reality by May 1995. Galesburg was about to become a major hub in the east with this merger. Lots of things would change, but for now the BN was as is with this May 1995 slide of a coal train heading south of Galesburg with a transition consist of DC/AC power. The 1st BN SD70MAC was built in 12-93, and BN would get 350 of these units before the merger (9400-9749).
