| 30 years separate the years of construction of the two largest steam locomotives on display at the open day at the Brugg AG railroad park. The four-cylinder compound locomotive 2-10-0 C 5/6 # 2978 from SBB Historic was built by SLM for SBB in 1917. The 2-8-2 "Mikado" 141 R # 1244 was built by Montreal Locomotive Works in 1947 for the French SNCF and came to Switzerland in 1975 to join the "Mikado 1244" association. The oil-fired 141 R # 1244 was not under steam. |
