    Remarks & Notes
Just after sunset, CSX Transportation Dash 8-40CW 7680 and AC4400CW 134 lead an eastbound vehicle train along the banks of the Monongahela River on the CSX's Pittsburgh Sub. In the distance, just behind the yellow Interstate 376 bridge, you can see the confluence of the Ohio, Monongahela and Allegheny Rivers, which is why the all-purpose sports stadium built here, on the north bank of the Allegheny in 1909 (and demolished in 2001), carried that name. Replacing it were two new stadiums: Heinz Field, for the NFL’s Steelers (visible looming above the Interstate) and PNC Park, home of the Pirates baseball team (not visible here thanks to the Key Bank office building). Also, as you have no doubt guessed, Pittsburgh's three rivers also see a fair amount of riverboat traffic. This former steel town has reinvented itself into a very nice city!
