| Revenue Service at Richmond.
A variety of SEPTA Surface Division equipment is seen at the Richmond & Westmoreland Loop in the Port Richmond neighborhood of Philadelphia, including PCC III car 2326. This was the first day that revenue service trolleys had returned to the Route 15, in the form of newly rebuilt PCC III cars. The cars were taken out of service and Route 15 bustituted in 2020, when extensive mechanical issues were discovered throughout the PCC Service on this section east of Girard & Frankford Aves was replaced with buses in 2012 due to construction on I-95, so this was the first day of revenue trolley service here in 12 years! |
