Straight as an arrow for miles, but not as flat as you might expect, the BNSF Dalhart Sub sees almost exclusively northbound trains, primarily ethanol and empty coal trains. Here, BNSF 9096 tails a doubled-up coal train. Presumably they'll split them at Dalhart and they will travel over the high plains of northern New Mexico and Trinchera Pass separately.
